PORTRAITS

Jeanette MacDonald was a very photogenic lady. As was the case in the golden era of Hollywood, the studio was responsible for publicity photos. At Paramount, it was Eugene Robert Richee who photographed her, and at MGM it was mainly Clarence Sinclair Bull and sometimes George Hurrell. MacDonald's radiance and beguiling charm always came across in her photo sittings.
